This year, the Town of Yountville, along with all the cities in Napa and Sonoma Counties, is updating the Housing Element – a part of the General Plan that will guide the housing we plan for by 2031. Every jurisdiction in the region is required by the State of California to plan for the increase of housing demand.
The Town of Yountville is pleased to be part of a collaborative of local jurisdictions within Napa and Sonoma counties called the Napa Sonoma Collaborative. This collaborative is sponsored by the Let’s Talk Housing public outreach initiative.
The Housing Element update is an opportunity to help guide housing development in our community. The more people we hear from, the better our plans for the future of housing will reflect the desires of the community, so your children, grandchildren, and the essential and service workers our community depends on can remain in the places they work. The Housing Element in one of seven elements of a General Plan and is a long-range visionary document to establish how the Town of Yountville will provide for our regional share of housing units.
